Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful acting in films. There is a huge fanbase on American as well as Canadian television. Emily began acting at 12 after she had a visit with her elder sister Katie in one of Katie's movies. After discovering her enthusiasm in the world of acting she enrolled herself in classes to learn about it and began auditioning. After a few successful commercials she was quickly booked in the Canadian Kids' Horror TV series Are You terrified of the Dark? The only scene that she was in was one that was silent. The actress got her first big break at 15, when she got a role as a regular in Glory Days, a WB program Glory Days. Emily's role in Glory Days, a show on WB that was cancelled 9 episodes later, drew the attention of and landed Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily was a professional ballet dancer who began to take up photography as well. Teen listed her as the number one actress in her 20s. The Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her as number 51.
